2004 DSDP under the dash blower fan unit

Has anyone replaced their under the dash Tempcon Evans fan unit?

Ours every once in awhile will squeal and then stop when the speed of the fan is speeded up. Sometimes it doesn't do it for quite awhile. I think one would have to pull the dash apart to get at it to replace and was wondering if anyone has done this? Is it hard to do?

"toban".....I had to replace mine on my 2014 Dutch Star, a month after we bought it new. The first trip it squealed like crazy. I was able to pull the center drawer and reach in and undo the screws and almost get it all the way out, but it hit the dash wall. I have a large plastic panel in front of the passenger seat that took me about an hour to remove because I had to make a special square drive head to reach the two screws by the front door. Once off, the motor quickly unscrews and reinstalls. Mine was under warranty, but I didn't want to take it in and leave it for something so simple. My dealer had a new motor for me the next day and even said he loved owners like me!
