- DrewEExplorer IIUsually (or at least often) the lens and the reflector are permanently affixed together as a single unit. It sometimes is possible to detach them by e.g. heating in an oven to soften the glue or weld joint, but that depends on their materials and construction.
- allbrandautoExplorerI have a 2007 Fleetwood bounder mine did same thing they are the same as a 2004 ford expedidion got them on amazon for 80 dollars for the pair looks great
- garyemunsonExplorer IIPolishing is a very short term fix. The plastic is old and the anti-UV component of the plastic has been 'burned away'. Best fix is to get the DOT numbers off of it and Google to see what automotive unit it really is. Swap with new and forget about it for another 10 years. You can also search for 2005 Bounder headlight on eBay. About $250 a pair.
- JayGeeExplorerOn the 2005 I think you are required to replace the whole thing. I hope I am wrong and there is a way to do it other than just trying to polish the outside of it. Mine are very cloudy.
Yours may be the same. - crassterExplorer IIJust curious are you thinking of polishing it out with toothpaste / buffer? It works pretty good. What type of discoloration?
- donn0128Explorer IIThere should be a DOT humber on the lower lens. Jot it down and do a web search for the number.
