It looks like we maybe the new owners of a 2009 Regal IV by the end of the month. So all the information is going to be put to good use. I have a few more questions:
1. are the air bags for the suspension on their own line or tied into the levelers and breaks?
2. what happens if one of them spring a leak does it disable the breaks?
3. I do not see a furnace listed on the window sheet. Is the heat handled by the aqua hot?
4. this thing has radiant floor heat. Is that also handled by the aqua hot?
5. Thinking ahead to the winter, how much fuel does the aqua hot use to heat the coach?

Bill, if you have hydraulic, it will have a hydraulic choice on the control pad. If I had the choice of just one, it would be air leveling (we happen to have both). I pretty much use hydraulic only when in storage to take the weight off of the tires.

The Day/Night shades could be the regular standard type. The MCD shades would be an expensive upgrade if that's what they have. Our standard Day/Night shade is the type that there his a mesh pleated shade that comes down and above that (attached to the same shade) is a blackout shade the comes down.

I bought a new MCD shade for the driver's side window with the separate mesh shade and blackout shade on a double roller. They can be raised with a small tug on either shade. The previous shade took two hands to operate as it would fly up with a pull on the cord. I should have changed that shade SO long ago, I love it!

We originally had Direct TV with the coach and I thought it was silly paying for something that we didn't really use that often. I have Dish at one of our homes and just got a receiver added for just $5 a month. I had to buy a computer update from Dish to switch over ($400) and it works well.

Our new coach is going to have two satellites (one in motion and one HD) and it is wired for Direct. I'll probably just change the house from Dish to Direct so I won't have two separate bills.

I'll add to the mix. The pump start can be had in a rewards or a credit card (Plus), my discount is .08 with lifetime GS. They give you a great discount as a veteran. Blue tooth link is to give you hands free talking. Many time a firmware update can change the dish from Dish to Direct. It may have both Hydraulic and Air Level, if the control has it you do. AH 600D is their top dog with 2 electric elements, they may be 110V or 220V or a combination. Day night shades are surely MCD or an equivalent.

We have the TST TMPS. Five years and still satisfied. We upgraded from the 510 to the 507 system a few yrs ago and like the 507 better. (user can change the batteries in the sensors). They're easy to program as it's done automatically.

As for Flying J, get either the GS swipe n save card, (3 cents off cash price) or the Plus card. (6 cents off cash price but must be paid off every 20 or so days). Both cards offer pump start feature.
1. Pull up to pump.
2. Use the pump start feature to start and begin fueling.
3. Wife goes into store to pay.
4. I finish pumping and text her the amount when done. This ensures accuracy.
5. Pull forward immediately so the next guy can pull into your spot.
6. Wife is usually done by the time I pull forward.

Be courteous to our fellow travelers and those that drive the big rigs for a living. Remember, we're on no time schedule. To them, time is money so get in and get out as quickly as you can. If you want to stay a bit and eat or visit the truck store, park your rig in one of the spots and go inside......Dennis

Yes you can use the truck lanes at Flying J/truck stops etc. in fact most of us prefer them to the RV lanes or other stations. Easier in and out, higher capacity pumps, fresher fuel and no chance of getting blocked in like you can at smaller fuel stations. I won't get into the various methods of payment by credit cards/discounts and such, you can do a search for that, but you will have a large capacity fuel tank so you can plan your fuel stops well in advance, no need to get caught in a must have situation and than trying to fit into a less than ideal fuel stop.

Roman Duck, We are originaly from Albany. However, we have been in MI for over 40 years.
DSDP, We looked at a 2013 Newmar Dutch Star 4018 but my wife kept holding out for the front kitchen.

The Air Force One is a great system. I had the M&G system on our '07 Honda and it would not really fit well on the '13. The installers said the Air Force One would fit best and work just as well and it has.

I bought the TST TPMS and had it for about 6 months. I never had more air loss in the tires than I did with that system. I gave it away. I'm sure the newer TST systems are much better but I didn't have good luck with it. I just check my tires before every departure and that has worked well so far. The new coach will have a built-in system and I hope it works well or it's out.

Our new coach will have a bath and a half so I understand the desire for it. Our current coach has a separate toilet and sink with the sink and shower in the hallway.

I checked the MPG towing a race car from Pamona, CA to Orlando with the 500hp in a 45ft 08 Dynasty and averaged 7.4-----I-10 all the way. The 500hp is not a joke

Roman Duck, I forgot to mention that we are looking at an extended warranty. They are twice the cost of the one I have on my 40 gas coach. Come to think of it everything seems to be twice as expensive, coach, insurance...
Can anyone tell me if it is ok to fuel up at the truck pumps in Flying J, etc. If so what is the procedure?
