We recently purchased this class A from a dealer used about a week ago. I've been going through things more detailed and I found that the house batteries are from 2013, they are Centennial GC2 6v (pair of 2) and they have swollen sides.
I'm currently looking for new batteries and I'm liking the Trojan 125's.. but I'm concerned that our OEM converter may not be up to the task of properly charging and monitoring the Trojans. From what I've read on the forums, the WFCO's aren't good with 6v batteries, so I'm looking to upgrade the converter to something more modern.
Current Converter: WFCO 9865 (65amp)
Looking at the Progressive Dynamics 9270C (70amp)
Questions:
1) Will it be OK to increase the amps like that w/o upgrading any wiring?
2) Planning on future install of flexible solar panels, will this converter cause any issues with that?
3) Any other suggestions??
Thanks for any advice/alternatives offered
