2017 F53 Tow Haul Problems

What`s the latest on problems with the tow/haul feature not working for 2017 F-53 Ford RV chassis? Looking to purchase a 2017 class A on a 24 lb chassis. Is this an issue on lighter F-53 chassis only?

The 2016/2017 six speed transmission tow haul issues are on the 14,001 pound through 19,500 pound chassis. Tow haul works properly on the 22K and heavier Ford Chassis.

Some 2016-2017 F-53 Motorhome Chassis and F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles
equipped with a 6.8L engine and a GVWR of 14,001 lb through 19,500 lb (4th digit of VIN is 4 or 5) may not downshift when going downhill when in Tow-Haul mode. Engineering is aware of this condition and is investigating. No repairs should be attempted at this time. Monitor OASIS for future updates.

I have a 2016 22K Ford Chassis and my tow haul feature works as designed.

Just picked up our 2016 Tiffin Allegro. I had read some of the forum comments on the F53 tow/haul issue so was anxious to try it our on the way home from the dealer. (~500 miles from GA t OH). Tow haul worked perfectly. So much different from our 2004 FR Georgetown that we traded in (we loved that one also BTW). I don't know what others are experiencing, but my Allegro worked as promoted.

Did an edit on my original post. Seems like it is the latest model with the most recent 6 speed tranny.

I'm on my 3rd V-10. I didn't know there was a problem???
