Hey folks! It's been a while since I have posted. Sold by 2017 Winnebago View and tried the Class B craze for a while with a Coachmen Crossfit (no called BEYOND) and it was a great unit, but my wife and I need something bigger so we are looking at the Winnebago View again. I put about 25K miles on our last VIEW and it was flawless, but I was always scared about the sensors going out, DPF problems, finding the right diesel, etc. You know all the horror stories on these forums. While I never had one issue this was always in the back of my mind. Have they made any changes to these 2020's where these issues have been fixed or still same old things to worry about? We really love the really like the 24J floorplan. Last time we had the 24V. Hope everyone is doing great and looking forward to your thoughts on this. Thanks!
I read all the same dire warnings on the various forums, and I've not had any problems with mine, bullet proof like you say.
The newer 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel has supposedly been given the MB blessing to use diesel blends up to B20, although I've not seen it in writing anywhere. I think luvlabs mentioned it a while back after speaking to MB reps at an RV show.
I also have never had any issues finding diesel. I live in Canada, but do most of my long drives in the USA, and quite a bit in Texas when I can get away, and never a problem. My year doesn't have a B20 blessing, B5 max according to my OM, unless there's nothing else available, and that comes with a warning suggests shortening the oil/filter change intervals, and watching the oil levels more carefully, as the bio-d can seep into the oil pan, or so they say. If I do get something over B5 I just follow the instructions in the manual. So far no issues using > B5 on occasion.
I have a 24V and like the floorplan. I wasn't a fan of the bathroom sink being located outside the bathroom, in the 24J.
What the newer chassis and designs have done is fix a lot of the simple little shortcomings of the prior model years. They've added a lot of convenience features to the 2020 models.
I listed most of the upgrades in this thread....See posts number 5 and 6.

The show stopper for me buying a new 2020 model was the cab over isn't deletable. We don't care for the overhang over the cab, which we deleted when we ordered our 2018 24V. Until WGO allows the cab over to be deleted, we'll stick with ours. :C
