My Rv came with Carrier Air V.. Both of them have done this.

No on the carerier the Green Light blinks 5-5-5-5-5-5- when this happens

What is happening: The cooling system has lost refrigerant and is no longer working, so the unit runs a bit, does not cool down (it has a temp sensor in it) and the compter says "Not working" flashes the "power Issue" code and waits a bit, then it tries again.

I"m not saying that is the problem with yorus, but on both mine that was the problem, we are trying to replace teh 2nd one now

NOTE: if your current units are 13.5K BTU, consider upgrading to 15K. Modern units take less pwoer per BTU and it's getting hotter out there.
  • Do you have 2 separate controls/thermostate? We do, and when our rear one did that we needed a new thermostat. Ours was a dometic in a 2000. We found an exact replacement on line.
  • Do U have a 30 amp RV setup with a Power management system that allows u 2 run 2 AC's at the same time? If so, it may be sensing a borderline Over current condition and shutting down the rear unit. What else do u have running that may be using 120VAC?

It would be helpful to know the brand as well as the age of the AC unit.
  • Your compressor may not be starting properly. Possibly need a "hard start" capacitor.
