Added another Vintage RV

My 92 must be vintage also. Maybe I should apply for some special plates.

On a similar note, I think instead of calling myself old, I'm going to start saying vintage. I've been calling myself "experienced" but that doesn't have the same ring to it.

Well just got set up on here now I will say a 75 Commander is vintage :-p and just starting out
as full time RV person (always wanted to travel but never had reason)What with getting apart from soon to be exwife. I now have reason. Anyway what type motor oil be best for a 75 440 Dodge motor? What with messed up back ect (disabled here) don't want to have to crawl all over it and really going to be tight money wise for bit till bills paid off. Mcome for a longtime going to be exceded by my outgo. So best ideas would be helpful

Vintage....Old... lol- to me it spells paid for. that's what excites me...

Is it or isn't it? I'd like to know if the old 95 Dolphin was now considered "vintage." That sounds a lot better than 18 years old. :)

I guess I need to read the vintage guidelines.

We got it november and have been out on an extended trip, left home on 12/28/12, planning to get back on 2/10/13.
Everything is working as it should, kept it from freezing in some pretty cold nights in OH.
I did have to replace a set of retraction springs on a leveling jack in Cincy, other than that, I need to change the oil again before we start heading back west.

We live just S/SW of Denver at 8800 ft., and I have only driven up/down from Denver once. Home in Nov, out for this trip in late Dec.
I had driven the 86 in CO for over ten years, and I tend to drive all my vehicles conservatively, so I climb pretty slowly and descend slow as well. I have driven many of the passes in CO, Loveland/Eisenhower tunnel, Vail Pass, Kenosha pass, Monarch Pass etc, most of the time towing a jeep.
The “new” one has an OD transmission, which will help on the downhill.
The key to driving up/down the passes is not to push too hard climbing and start the downhill at a slow speed to minimize your brake usage.
Brake assist on two vehicles is a nice addition in the mountains.

I guess I got one of those vintage RV's without knowing it also.

BTW, how does the 460 and brakes do in Colorado? Never took mine into the mountains before.

I didn't realize that '96 was vintage. I always thought my '95 Coachmen was just plain old. :B
