You hit it on the head. Just found out today. Intellitec actually called me back. I was so used to seeing the amp draw while dry camping I thought something was wrong. Actually, nothing was ever wrong. Everything was doing what it was supposed to do. When the gen shut down due to service due, I thought it screwed something up. Thanks again for all of the support from this forum

When on TRUE 50 amp service the AMP Draw will be Blank. Only on Genset and less than 50 amp shore will it show amps being used. The reason is, on 50 amp service, EVERYTHING is the RV is capable of running on 50 amp service. Gensets are NOT 50 amp service. That is the reason they show the amp draw. IF you approach the limits of the capability of the Genset it will then shed appliances in the shed order. Doug

8000 genset---66 amps
10,000 genset 83 amps
12.5k genset 104 amps
Both the 10k and the 12.5 k are dual phase AC supply Gensets and this means the AMP draw display will be blank like on 50 amp shore power

Is it possible your generator is putting out a true 240/120VAC output and your home shore power outlet is wired so both hots are on the same phase? This would put 0V between the two hots. Measure between L1 and L2 on your shore power outlet to check. Although then it's a mystery as to why the EMS thinks it's 50Amp. Puzzling.

See pictures. I had on breaker that we don't use switched to off. Technician said the flip it on. Shows 50amp service now. However, now there is "no " amp draw on the panel. With generator running and shore power disconnected panel shows correct amp draw. Still a mystery. Film at eleven!!!

Sounds like an EMS issue.. Likely a blown fuse

At the bottom of the General Preferences section there are 4 check boxes. The third one determines whether or not you can see pictures in posts. Place a check in the box.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Submit Changes button.

The panel (I assume this is one in the RV) presumably distinguishes between 50A and 30A service by measuring the voltage between the two hot lines; if there is no voltage difference, then it believes it's a 30A service. Possibly if one of the legs is not powered at all it would also sense 30A and somehow via internal switching apply it to all the circuits.

Maybe on 30A it cycles the two air conditioner compressors such that they don't run simultaneously. Maybe the control sensor is not properly sensing one of the two lines (either voltage or current).

As for the pictures, check the "Show images that are part of posts (not recommended for dial-up users)" checkbox in the "My Preferences" section of the "My Forums" page, which there should be a link to at the top of the forums. If the "My Forums" page won't load due to some rather obscure appearing server error, change it to an https: URL (i.e. something like https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/myforums.cfm). How well it works may well depend which portal you use to access the forums.

Yes both ac's are cooling. I don't understand it either.
