Anatomy of an RV Water Leak

On one hand I may have saved some money doing it myself. Can only imagine what most RV shops I've been to would charge for tracking down & fixing a water leak. On the other hand, I was lucky.

Anatomy of an RV Water Leak
  • Wow, that is an excellent, well written article, nice work!

I can totally relate to diving in an figuring it out like that. The way they build these things does not lend itself well to future repairs, that's for sure.

I set out to fix a leaky roof and a soft spot on the bathroom floor once and seriously got carried away with it.... wound up gutting and rebuilding the entire TT.

I like your creativity in getting in there to figure out where the water was coming from, and also how you went about addressing it.
  • Very good, thanks for posting. One thing I learned about leaks and RVs, where the drip is, is not necessarily below where the water is actually leaking. I had a leak near the windshield....the actual leak was a running light on the top of the coach, to the rear of the windshield.
