Another Motorhome??

Sold my K.Star pusher about 3 years ago.
Seriously thinking about another motor home.
Have owned a Winnebago, Southwind and the Newmar, and my opinion is that the Newmar was the better of the 3.
Short list would be Newmar, Holiday Rambler and Winnebago.
Will be looking for a gas unit about 36 feet, 2004 to 2010 with 2-3 slideouts.
Opinions or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Mike P.
  • We had excellent experience with our Newmar. We would also buy again - but used. The new prices now have exceeded our bank account!!
  • I think you know the answer. :B

We've owned (3) Newmars, if we ever buy again it will be another Newmar.
  • Mike, IMHO you have a great short list, can't go wrong with those 3 RV manufactures!
  • Also in the market for a new MH. We're Class C folks going from a 27' up to a 33'. Looking seriously at the MW Spirit 31G. Wet weight is 12,500 (approx) which gives us plenty of CCC for how we travel. We spend 90 nights a year in the rig. Not sure why bigger rigs are so popular unless fulltiming. We'll have lots of extra room in the 33 footer. 4 TV 's , solar, levelers, 1 full wall slide, power awning. Those are all on my wish list. Good value for the $.
  • I have owned 3 Winnies, and had real good luck with ALL,
but no question NEWMAR if we ever again....tenn
  • I have a Newmar and were I looking for another it would be a Newmar. I have had 3 Winnebagos in the past, two gas models which were OK and 1 diesel that was a five year nightmare. No question in my mind.
  • Mr. Mike P.,

Good to see you wanting to get back in the RV lifestyle! Seems like you have a lot of experience already. If I were looking for a gas unit, I think Newmar would be first and wouldn't rule out a Tiffin.

A company that stands behind their products would be paramount.

    Good luck!
    MM.
