Present-day Hondas are "Inverter" generators - actually create power differently (in the Onan the engine turns a standard generator winding. Inverters have magic electron powder or similar inside...). Second is durability. Onans can run for thousands of hours - not typically done with Hondas, etc. Still wish my green machine ran quieter!!! ST
