I kept track of it for the first season we had the rig. Averaged 6.5 mpg with our toad and 7.5 mpg without.
I wanted some average numbers for budgeting fuel prices for long trips. I use the 6.5 mpg when I estimate fuel costs and normally it is pretty darn close. I keep it under 65mph on highways and avoid city driving.
If I can get to my destination under budget then I have extra beer money.
That's about 500 miles or a long day of driving on every tank.
There is a separate post on here about rules for motorhomes. If not already mentioned you can almost always assume you will be driving into a head wind, doesn't matter which direction you are going, what part of the country you're in, uphill or down -- it seems the winds are never in your favor.
