1999 Fleetwood Discovery. Is it possible to chancy 4 6 volt batteries the six volt batteries to 2 12 volt batteries? Has anyone done this successfully, and what are there any issues.

Like said previously, I successfully changed out four wet 6's to four AGM 12's (group 24) but only to restore originality and might have lost a smidgen of power in the process. You most definitely will and more than a smidgen, in fact.
Your wiring will go from a series/parallel connection to a strictly parallel hookup is all.
Yep, some wire left over, but in my case, I had to make up two 3/0 jumpers for completing the process.
