Battery Problems

My 2006 Damen Daybreak battery is losing complete power fast. I put in a new battery, it died. Took it back, they checked it and said it was OK. Then recharged it. Worked fine for 2 days now is completely dead again.
I'm not sure what would be a draw to kill it so fast.
I noticed a few weeks ago the bedroom slide wouldn't come out unless I had the generator on. It never worked that way before. It always worked with the battery only.
When it ran with newly charged battery it ran great. Then within minutes it's dead.
Your thoughts please.Thanks, Gary
  • House or chassis battery?

A small light can kill a battery in 2 days. Mine seems to have a light if it has a door, have you checked to make sure everything is off, including bays? Ignition switch off completely?

If it's nothing that obvious a DVM that checks amps can be used. It needs to be inline in the circuit, that makes the fuse block the best choice. Once you find the right circuit it's a matter of eliminating components.
  • I would start pulling fuses and see what might be drawing all the power, using a meter or at least a test light to find the problem would be where i would start.
  • Whatever is supposed to charge your battery is not working correctly. Look in that direction....
