bed NOT stuffed into the slide

Having the bed stuffed into the slide without adequate walk around room has annoyed the dickens out of me since the first time I made this bed. We will eventually slow down and be in the market for a larger unit. DH swears he saw either a 36 or a 38 footer with the closet and dresser in the slide and not the bed, so that the aisle were actually usable. However, he can't remember the manufacturer.

Does anyone know of a class a with the bed installed lengthwise and the storage in the slide?

Oh, yeah. I like that Winnebago Journey. We are almost always inparks. Even whenwe are on the road at Walmart, wecan put the slide oout long enough to get clean clothes out. I do like that unit.

I'll just add to view it with the slide closed before you buy. The bed in another direction just might not let you get to 'anything' in the bedroom when closed.

I have been in a coach like that, but do not remember what it was. We had people parked next to us with that arrangement. I liked it too, but have never seen it since.

There are many designs with two slides in the bedroom!

Probably just need to keep looking. Check out the websites for any RV's that you are thinking to upgrade to. I would prefer a slide that has both nightstands in the slide out area, giving space next to the bed for a clock radio! It would also enhance the area to make the bed. I like the idea of the slide at the end of the bed, to get the closet out of the way while camping too. Normally there might be a dresser down low, and closet above, so that the closet section fits above the bed while slid in for travel, but there is still access to use the bed while it is all closed up, if just barely room.

I always looked inside the RV and made sure that I could get to the refrigerator while all the slides are in. I was constantly wanting to stop for food in route, and if full timing you do that a lot. I want to put it all away. ALso taking a nap while the slides are in is important to me. While in a rest area, it might not be practical to slide out the slides, unless it is not crowded, or you happen to get a spot on the end where the slide is over some grass?

Some designs do not allow good access to the bathroom while the side is in. I think that is a design that someone who never took out a RV came up with. I ended up with the RV design with the largest bathroom, and then had the manufacture delete the dinette, instead installed a couch and pair of captains chairs where the dinette was at. I built a table to fit between the captains chairs, and they are very comfortable for eating now!

Good luck finding something that fits your needs.

Money can't buy happiness but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a

Porsche or Country Coach!

If there's a WILL, I want to be in it!

I havn't been everywhere, but it's on my list.

Depends on how deep the slide is. I like the slide bed as it is useable with it in if it is shallow enough and you get a window for cross ventilation too.

You never mentioned the type of coach that you own and what year of coach your looking for new or used? I own a 04 Winnebago Adventurer I bought it new and I have plenty of room around the bed, my whole bedroom and closet slides out. My living room slides out with my storage compartment. My coach is 36' and Winnebago also makes a 38' coach in that model.
