Wow! This is hands down the BEST and well thought out post of someone considering a new RV in the 16 years I've been on this board!
Tailswing is not a issue. Turning a long rig needs planning. Have you ever watched a trucker turn to the right? They turn left first to get needed clearance and then right. Sure if you park close to a pole and pull out with a sharp right, hello insurance...
Big MHs are expensive as is maintenance. I'll get tires next summer and this is a case where I just hold up the CC - 8x$600 = $5k won't surprise me. Not saying I like it...
If I wasn't concerned about some bucks to help GCs and DW would let me I would.
1. Be concerned about Winnie owning Newmar - A downward trend won't be a shock.
2. Would consider Foretravel. For new ones I'd have a significant discussion about the Newmar chassis with Winnie in that pilot seat...
