Best normal sized wheels to replace my old 16.5"?

That link does have good pricing, but be sure to calculate with shipping and factor in the tire cost. That stuff is heavy and shipping can be pretty doggone high.

You can use L/T tires and save a little money on the conversion, then get true M/H tires 5 years down the road. Converting your wheels will also help future resale.

I would contact a local tire shop as well. If you show them the internet pricing, they might be able to work something out for you. The shop can also look up your specs. and ensure you get the right offset and tire size. I prefer to keep that kind of purchase local to support businesses I will need in the future, plus you can just drive up and have them inspect the tires before you head out on any trip.

All that being said, I was able to work out a deal with a local tire shop for $185 a tire for 16.5" Firestones (6 total). We don't know that we will keep this RV more than 5 years, so that was a better value than changing out the wheels. Something to consider.

245/75r16 won't work on a 6in gm daully wheels go with 225 max unless those aftermarket wheels have more back spacing than a gm wheel.. have had issues running 235's on a chevy one ton truck..

I bought 2 Firestone 16.5 tires from "Tirerack.com" 2 years ago. Very reasonable prices, and usually cheaper even with shipping than buying locally.

Why were 7 wheels $1700??? Did you buy Alcoa's or something?

Make sure that you don't end up lowering the rv. I just moved from 225/75R16 to 235/85R16 New wheels with the correct offset for the duals were required. Cost for 7 wheels with shipping was just shy of 1700.00

Tires were $1795, and a wheel alignment was $396.00

Tire choice. We're refurbishing this RV to live in as we see the country and really don't want to get stranded with no tires available where ever we break down!

The term is Lug-Centered which Dodge was, and Ford was through 1983. The wheels were also what they call "Coined." Coined wheels have alternate upset and recessed lug holes. The recesses on one wheel must mesh with the upsets on the other. Rear duals, that is. You'll see a slot in each wheel, and a pin sticking out of the rear hub to force you to align them correctly.
The wheels you have an need are Hub-Centered, or Hub-Piloted. There's a precision fit between the hole in the middle of the wheel and a seating surface on the hub. Look at one of those setups and the holes will be sloppy on the studs.
Do you understand OFFSET? Offset is the depth of the "dish" of the wheels. There are Dual Spacing Charts that illustrate Offset and specify how much offset is required for a given tire size. The duals can not rub sidewalls or "kiss" even momentarily with a dip or hump in the rod. The wheels you get should have the offset required by the tires you want to mount. I mention it now because it's possible the junkyard wheels you get could have been wrong for the tires mounted on them. You don't want to repeat that mistake.
