Black tank odor
Anybody know of a home-made deoderizer to use in the black tank rather than a store bought one? We ran out whill dry camping and would like to see if there is a back-up.

If you have black tank "odor" inside your mh.....something is wrong. Either your vent is plugged or the seal on your toilet is not sealing properly. If you experience the odor right after you flush, that is normal. Be sure to turn off the vent fan when doing this as it will pull the odors right out of the tank and up the toilet. If you have a small leak (drip) in any of your connections at the drain gate or sewer hose, will also cause an odor that can seep into the interior of the coach.
Adding chemicals to mask the odor is not solving the problem. A properly operating and sealed black tank system will NOT produce an odor under normal conditions.
