black water tank cleaner

Question

I had to change out the one way valve in my black tank flush system today. Got the new valve in and leak free, but I do not hear my sprayer working inside the tank. It used to make a pressure washing sound, now it does not. it had air in the system when I put it back together. I ran water thru it till all the air appeared to be gone. but now when I turn it on to flush the tank I don't hear anything at all. Did I miss something ? it worked fine before. The valve got a crack in it and started spraying water everywhere. I thought I got lucky and it was an easy fix, but now I'm not so sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you put the valve in the correct way? If you put it in backwards, no water will go through it.

No, it is in correctly. Water passes thru it best I can tell. I watched the air bubbles blow thru the lines when they were filling back up after installing the valve.

Eliminate the vac breaker valve if its somewhere in the rig, its a recipe for disaster. When you have low water pressure and use that tank flush the low pressure may not be enough to close the valve and the water will pour out the vent and flood your rig.

The poop police will not arrest you nor will plumbing code enforcement come and confiscate your rig. The possibility of that tank flush system backflowing into the park system is almost 0, as a specific sequence of events would need to take place while you're actually flushing the tank for that to happen. Just don't keep the fill port connected all the time, only when you want to flush the tank.
