blue lines in floor vinyl

We have a 1999 Winnebago Adventurer that has blue streaks coming through our vinyl floors in the kitchen and the bathroom. Is this a sign of a water leak problem? It seems to be getting worse through the years. thanks

  • When our shower was leaking around the drain a bluish blot appeared in the sheet flooring. If it's uneven like that you probably do have a leak.
  • I have seen flooring material underlayment that had a blue pattern on it to aid in keeping tiles even? I assume you are talking about 1/4 " stripes, not big blobs.

    bumpy
  • if these are straight, uniform, blue lines, it is probably something from the underlayment bleeding through rather than a leak.

Sadly it sure is. If its bleeding through that's a really bad sign. You need to address that sooner rather than later.
  • Sounds like the subfloor is bleeding thru the cheap vinly. Only way to know for sure is to open things up and inspect.
