Blue Ox Trucenter install

Finally got around to installing my trucenter today after sitting on my work bench for five months. Not to happy about the clearance between the lower shock mount and the trucenter U bolt that goes around the tie rod. Hard to tell in pics but it's 1/8 inch at best.

  • Thanks Don. I was thinking of grinding or cutting tha mount a little. X2 on the push button switch. I did not mount the switch yet because I did not like it, I will have to look for a switch like you mention.
  • Mike......The tie rod will rotate up and down an inch or so, but as long as it doesn't hit, it shouldn't be an issue. I would grind the shock mount a little (round it off) just in case it does, it will slip buy it. You could also grind the u-bolts a little to make them flat on one side.

You'll love the TruCenter. Make sure that when you mount the button, it's comfortably within arms reach and where you can reach it blindly.

I didn't care for the button they provided and used a momentary rocker switch that matched my others.
