Well,I bought a '97 Coachmen Catalina Sport 240wb....found sooo many problems to fix. Some I can handle,and some I can't. Right now my big question is how do you drain the fresh water tank? I can't find a drain anywhere and just can't imagine having to use the pump each trip to empty it...I am hoping someone here can answer this. This unit has the water tank under the east/west bed in the rear bedroom. It has a split bath. I searched so hard for this and most likely paid a bit much but with our health issues, it was what I needed.I found lots of small stuff to repair,and so far I have handled them..74 yrs.old and still trying...;-)DH has dementia..need I say more...

I'm not sure how much help I can offer, but I had a 1997 220RK coachmen which had the water tank under the dinette. In my case I found the drain for the fresh water tank (if I remember correctly) on the water line running to the water heater.

Call the dealer s/b easy question for them to answer. I am not familiar with your rig - in my case I looked under the rig and found the drain pipe - that helped me find the drain valve. Sometimes it's just a tiny 1" handle often hidden next to water tank.

I used to have a 2000 Coachman Pathfinder model 240wb, in that one there was an access panel at the foot of the bed where it could be reached from the hall. It was held on with a few Phillips head screws. Behind it was a drain plug in the line between the pump & the tank. Pull straight up.

On mine it's on the outside wall about six inches from the water tank, normally the are very close to the tank and easy to get at. Just a turn spicket.

Nczsc- I found a panel with four screws on the bed base, but I can't lift the mattress to check. If I determine it's in there, I will make an easier-to-open access door since I like to drain the take when I come home each week. Thanks for the info! By the way,I really searched hard for this floorplan-think I will really like it once I get all the fixit things done!

That floor plan is a good one - our 1st coach had the corner bed lengthwise. Surprising how much easier access is when it gets turned crosswise. And the split bath works very well.

On your access panel, I just used 2 screws & did not use a screwdriver to tighten.

Our 1999 Coachman has a manifold set up in the rear pass thru storage area. It has several valves that have to be turned certain ways in order to fill, use, or winterize. There is also a single valve to drain. Maybe your 97 has this?

If your bed has a storage under it, mine does, maybe there's a small valve in the water line near the fresh water tank, mine is near the pump,slow drains, or the pump can push it out through the low point drain place behind the rear wheels, good luck, now it's all happy-camping

Call the people you bought it from and ask them or show you how to drain the water. You should have them go over how to do this.

Not sure if this would help, but I found mine next to the sign that said "Low Point Drain". I'm guessing there's no such sign?

The drain valves are "T" looking and are on the floor look under the bed were the lines go out, there are at least three valves, one for the line to the bathroom, the kitchen and one to drain the hot water tank, and one to drain the potable water tank.

Check under the couch, the seats in the dinette, they are about 2 inches and are black, they pull up be careful not to pull going side ways they are plastic.
