The problem you will run into is that although they look the same, the latch pins on the new lock are larger than the ones in the old door.
Therefore the striker plate(which comes with the lock( has to be replaced. In our case, it had to be removed from the inside, as it would not come thru the cutout in the door facing. Found out that we could have released the latch and removed the striker plate from inside with no trouble at all.
