Buying a Class A without slides??

If you're referring to slideouts, I would pass. We have a 31' Bounder with no slideouts. We bought it several years ago as a starter, see if we would like traveling in a MH. It's a nice MH but without slides it's just too small, the living room/dining area especially. That's where you spend your time inside when not sleeping.

If slides, we started with a Bounder with two slides to the Camelot with four slides. The extra room is terrific.

And we are the opposite. Prefer a 102" wide with no slides.

Slides do offer floor space, but take up storage space.

So, your choice-- no "one answer fits all".

We also have a wide body coach, no slides but perfectly comfortable for the two of us.

it no slides doesn't bother you, go ahead but you will have trouble on a resale in the future.

I was thinking that no slides is less problems, less mechanic, less chance to leak, easier to warm up or to cool off? Especially if I want to venture a little off the beaten track on small gravel roads and when temps are around freezing.

If the price is like 20,000 $ less than the same camper with slides, there should be someone to buy it if I want to resale? But again, the big sellers are the one with slides.

We also have a 36' Holiday Rambler with NO slides. We wanted it as we travel Mexico and boondock. No slides makes it much easier and for us we have plenty of room. No slides saves weight and can help on better mileage. We had a 5er with two slides before and found the slides to be cold in low temps. We have had the HR in snow and we were nice and toasty.

I had a 2007 Hurricane 30Q and traded it for my current coach, the extra room (slide) does make a difference when camped for any period of time.

We had a 27' Terry TT we were perfectly happy with. Some friends of ours, had a 27' 5th wheel, with a living room slide, that had us over for dinner one night, while boondocking. The extra room the slide affords in the dining room, was amazing, and we soon traded for a new TT with a big slide in the dining room. It allows 2 people to work in the kitchen without interference. We were just much happier with a slide that when we started looking at MHs, it had to have at least 1 slide, and 2 is much better, as it opens the bedroom up also. With the slides in, it is the same as a non-slide equipped MH in the dining/kitchen area, but if you want to pass each other, it takes some effort. Your mileage may very.

30 foot coach without a slide out will be very hard to find a buyer, when its time to resale, unless the price is low enough, that's just my 2 cents
