The level will go up and down when in use.
I made the mistake of over filling once. Had fluid on ground after that. Till all the excess fluid leveled off.
I would clean it real well and keep an eye on it.
Fluid has never been added. Sounds like you had a similar problem. I just can't understand why it all of a sudden started to leak.
I noticed a stainless steel band around the neck of the hyd. bottle. Just started thinking that maybe it needs to be tightened, but don't know yet if it has an adjustment (unit is stored miles from my house).
