Celing fan problem

Good morning. The celing vent on the fan on my unit was open all night. Some 'nettles' from the trees above got caught in it. Now makes a noise when it runs as they bang around on the screen.
I looked in the manual but see no instructions for fan and do not want to pull the plastic and break the seal.
BUT.. I do see a 'grip' /edge on one side of the inside screen . Can I take the screen off from the inside to remove the nettles?
Thanks!
  • My Fantastic fan didn't reverse either. There is a thread which discusses installing a reversing switch, which I have done. Also, I have replaced my fan screen, which screwed on, with a pop-off screen.
  • My Fantastic Fan didn't reverse either. But it does now. I installed a switch on it.

  • Thanks. I 've taken the sceen off. It's a 'fantastic fan' . from installation 2008 - has 3 speed on no tem ( knob) and hot to cold second dial,. Don't know the model number. Doubt it has a 'reverse fan' ...
But at least I've got the nettles out and now know I can snap it in and out!
    Thanks a lot!

  • Reverse the fan to blow out and run it on high.

What kind of fan is it? Model?

Use the 'grip' to pull the screen.
