Class A question

I was wondering why for the past six years Winnebago is the only manufacturer building a Class A on the sprinter platform. Do they have an exclusive agreement with Mercedes? Their VIA class A is the only class A coach on the sprinter chassis. Anyone have an idea why. We bought a VIA but it would have been nice to look at other manufacturers.
  • I guess other manufacturers realize there's not much of a market for a $130k 25ft class A with small tanks, minimal storage.
  • I think there might be a lot of truth in Tom's post before me. I think no matter who Winnebago goes with it's nice to have a change in engine choice. I won't buy a new Class A with a Ford engine after the last one I bought.

Those (at least the ones I looked up) are class B or class C motorhomes, not class A motorhomes.

I'm not sure that Mercedes Benz is generally offering for sale a bare sprinter chassis (as opposed to a chassis cab or van body). It's not listed on their website as an option, at least.
