I feel for you. In this situation, I think I would also be inclined to try propping it up from underneath, rather than trying to rebuild the floor. Considering how decomposition spreads through some of these floor materials, there is really no way to estimate how much of the original floor needs to be replaced or rebuilt to get back to design strength.

When the floor starts sagging, we strategically place screw jacks under the floor in the basement, rather than trying to replace the whole structure. It is a stop-gap, but it can work long term.

Shasta/Coachmen of that vintage could be a sandwich of sheet metal, foam plastic, and oriented-strand board. Stiffness would be provided by the OSB, so if that has been water damaged, actual sagging of the floor would be one of your possibilities.

But also check out the issue of spacers between the chassis and floor frame, because if one of the spacers has broken down or crumbled, the whole house can sag in that direction.

Check under neath where the house portion is attached to the frame of the Ford, see if it is sitting on rubber mounts or if it is on wood, check the height of the rubber with one of the back ones, if it is on wood check for fry rot.

To check for dry rot use an ice pick if it goes in real easy the wood is gone, good wood the pic barely penetrates.

Also check the Ford portion, unless you purchased the unit new there might be some damage to the cabin from an accident.

The rubber bushings can be replaced, they are a bear to do.

What year and model? Floor construction varies somewhat by manufacturer and has changed over time.

Thanks for the help with pictures. It's hard to tell in the pic but the floor is sloped down from the chase lounge to the wall behind it.

The pictures are on Flickr, which doesn't go out of its way to make it easy to get actual links to actual images. These were from the "grab the BBCode" option and then manually editing away the stuff before the bracketed "img" tag and after the bracketed "/img" tag.

It looks like the main complaint is that the house and chassis cab parts have shifted in relation to each other. These are basically built as two separate boxes (the cab part by Ford, the rest by the motorhome builder. The house part is possibly mounted to the frame of the chassis through a few rubber isolation mounts or similar, and maybe one of these has broken down. It's also possible that there's some sagging or cracking or other problems with the understructure of the house portion. In any case, a thorough examination of the understructure might show up where things are going wrong.
