There is probably a way to fill it from the city water port also. If you have a hose with pressure. I feel your pain, no gravity feed on mine, and to switch it over the controlls are under the couch, that is under the rear slide bed. Plus, I can't see them well, so I turn things untill I hear the water flowing to the pump. Check the manual, try it both ways at home, then mark the valves.
