- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIUmmmm, charge them, use them and then charge them again? Not sure what kind of advice you are looking for.
- midnightsadieExplorer IIbeen around for about 50 years, keep the water checked, on a battery tender when not in use, they,ll serve you well.

- FordDiesel250ExplorerI have no idea what voltage I am charging to. I have a battery tender to trickle charge them is there more I need to do beside checking water level monthly?

YES. You need to verify that charging voltage, particularly float voltage is what Crown calls for.
A digital voltmeter is your (and your battery's) friend. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe best thing you can do for your batteries is have a good 3 stage charger that takes care of the batteries without you needing to know much of anything. Then, as long as you keep them watered properly (distilled water only) they should provide a long life.

I just put some Crown 235 batteries in my motorhome and I was wondering if anyone out there can give me some feedback on using them.
what does some mean? 2 or 4?
What kind of MH ?what size inverter? what did u plan to run off them?
and what length of time with no charge in? How is the 3 stage charger set up on your inverter? have u set it to the proper charge rates< is it set for the correct amps and batt type
Even when sitting your inverter/charger turned off it draws energy so u should disconnect the cable if sitting with no available power source to at least make up for the basic draw of a inverter/converter sitting with no draw to MH itself
forgot to mention those crown are good as there American battery company(aka interstate) - azrvingExplorer

It is unlikely that your battery tender is that kind of a charger. I believe they are only meant to maintain a charge on a battery while at rest. I know there are many versions but I don't believe this would be used to charge discharged batteries. That job should be handled by a inverter/charger or a stand alone converter built into the coach.
