Dealership in/around Chicago

Hello,

I am stationed overseas, but will be passing thru the Chicago are in the next few weeks and am looking for a dealership with a large inventory. I am aware of the CampingWorld, but what are some others? I am willing to drive a bit, like maybe down to Elkhart to get a good look. Unfortunately, I will not be able to time ANY of the RV shows across the country this year but want to get a good look at what is out there. Crossposted in Toyhaulers and Class A to capture both crowds.

I have had a 5ver before, so not new, just looking to get back into it. Thanks for any recommendations...

Camping world does a show at some fairgrounds near the Island LAke store. They bring in new and used inventory from all the CW's around here. towables are indoors, class A's outside.

I found the Island Lake store was just horrible. Salespeople that don't want to get off their arse to show you anything outside. And god forbid if you ask to see a used RV.
That said.

X2 on the store on 94 right on the state line. Real nice owners decent inventory and great service dept.

Burlington RV Store has a HUGE inventory and real nice camping store.
Not too far past the IL/WI border off the interstate.

Barrington RV is just down the road rom me. they are very easy to deal with, no pressure sales. General RV is out past Elgin. Arts RV is in Glen Ellyn, just west of I355. There is 83 RV in Mundelein. there is I94 RV in Russell IL (IL/WI border), Kramers Campers in Zion. many others that have been mentioned.

Fun Times RV has quite a few trailers (I don't believe they deal in MHs). Located near the Wisconsin border (SR 173 and US 45). Good folks to deal with; we bought 2 trailers there (and had them serviced there as well) when we lived in the area. Fun Times RV

Ehrhardt's in Des Plaines, not a huge inventory but great folks to deal with. Ask for Tim.

Holiday Hour considerably farther west, but again good folks to deal with.

there was a dealer across from Barrington RV but he went bust several years back.

you don't say if you're looking new or used but i'll recommend Barrington Motors RV in Bartlett, Il. we bought our current class A from them back in 2000 and will be buying our new class A from them. no pressure, excellent service. see bryan, sean or matt.
