Defective Slide

I recently purchased a 2015 Forester 2501 with 3 slides. One of the slides came from the factory, built out of square, but it was shipped to a dealer and then sold to me. My dealer says they are working on either repairing the slide or getting a new one from the factory and it will be covered under warrantee.

When talking with several RV owners, they have questioned the factory shipping a 2015 RV with a slide that was built crooked, should I be concerned or just let the dealer (Camping World) deal with it and trust that all is well? JH

Sadly getting a new camper or your money back is extremely tough to do. The manufacturer (let's talk CA. law) has the opportunity to repair the problem

and in CA. gets three tries to do it. The lemon law can be used but under certain circumstances. I have watched friends who used the law and it seemed

unfair to the consumer. My guess is they will install a new slide.

Don't know the right answer for you to your question.
How is it crooked ? How/when did you find this out ? Was it noticeable before the sale or after the sale ?? Before you left the dealership or when you got home ?
I know before I bought the used MH we had , before I signed on the dotted line they did a walk through with me and everything had been operated /flushed /turned on turned off , pulled out , pushed in ,crawled on top of it and crawled underneath it and operated to my satisfaction etc etc etc....
Same goes for a new one !
Not trying to sound like an a$$
But anymore most just don't care about quality in their workmanship in building anything anymore !!!
Just pass it on to the next to cover it up until we the customer has to deal with it....

Hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction !
