It broke loose I use the PB Blaster it's a penetrant and a big vice grips and lighty wiggled . It's working now. Thanks for the info I downed info for future reference . Thank you and everyone else that replied. This is a awesome forum !!!!

Pb blaster cuts bread and butter pickle juice. Rule number 55a in the camping log lol

Did it fix it ? I have wd40 soaking on it. I might have to try this . Because its turning to gas but turns hard. I'm thinking its pickle juice. Because seal caulk seal is cracked just above knob it would of run down there. I'm only guessing. Only spill that got out of control.

Only could get it to gas it won't pop in . It's the electric or gas knob . Must of spilled something sticky in to it or something. It's always worked great before.

OK...so it's a NORCOLD ---not a Dometic

That is the 'selector switch and SAFETY Valve' that is binding
Part of the 'combination control'

Combination Control is NON-SERVICEABLE (can not be repaired/rebuilt etc.) and must be replaced when it fails

Good news........some are still available
Bad news........roughly $320 PLUS


BUT......BUT there could be light at end of tunnel
That combination control went thru a RECALL (defective rubber seal)
for units built Jan 1987 thru May 1995
Your 1992 falls within the recall period so if never done you may be able to get one from Norcold
