After all its not needed, MFG don't spend money on something not needed
That arc is the from the converter, and running off the main breaker will stop it,
Besides that...most 30 amp transfer switches only throw one way and only energize when the generator is running, and use the normally close contracts for the shore power, do the arc is still the converter, not the transfer switch
Wasn't the owner talking about his Georgetown motor home that does have a generator?
