When my fuel filter starts to get plugged, the engine will cough through the TBI unit when under heavy load. Not much is noticed on flat or mild climbs.
Doesn't take much water or debris in fuel to plug filter.
Not sure on later models, but is the fuel filter in the correct direction for flow?
