Many have extended warranties and have used them to satisfaction. Many have them and have never used them or the needed repairs weren't covered and thus a waste of money. I fall into the camp of putting the money I would have used on a warranty in the bank or an investment. If I have an issue, I can pay out of pocket. If I don't I have not lost any money. Warranties are a kind of gamble. You are betting on the fact you will have an issue, it will be covered and the issue cost more than the years of premiums you paid. The warranty companies are usually much better at this game. That's how they make so much money. They make a lot more in premium than they pay out in repairs
