Extended Warranty Help

Just be sure to read the fine print of whatever policy that you get. Some have various limitations depending on the age of the vehicle.
If I remember right, one extended warranty gave the company the option to give back the premium INSTEAD of covering the cost of a major repair.

Good sam seems to have a decent rate ? make sure you know exactly what your getting before buying (that is proper coverage for your needs)

Read the actual policy, not the sales brochure. Most extended warranties are very good about wording their policies so things are not covered. Example, "If a non covered part causes a covered part to fail, the covered part will not be covered."

not saying this is not true but have never seen nor heard of such Have you a quote from a policy that says things such as this ?
seems a bit on the odd side at best if such a thing is out there

Funny you mention that. One of the companies I got a quote from actually mentioned that and had an add on that covers that specific issue

Failure of a covered part under normal service. A covered part has failed when it can no longer perform the function for which it was designed solely due to its condition, and not due to the action or inaction of any non-covered parts. In addition, a Failure will be deemed to have occurred when a covered part has worn beyond the manufacturer's tolerances allowed for the particular Vehicle at the odometer reading when the problem occurs.

I have never had one in 12 years. I pay for my own repairs.

bank the money, and add a little when you can, MOST warrenties arn,t worth the paper there printed on, and don,t beleave what a sales person tells you.

I have been told that by a GOOD SAM rep. and then he quote fine print chapter and verse. So it may be odd but it is factual!!!
