In a previous post someone mentioned that they ordered a Newmar and one of his options was a Power Tek generator. My question is are there more options available that aren't published in the Brochure...

I am the one one that posted that we ordered a Power Tek at the factory techs suggestion and yes in our experience Newmar will provide you with what I suggest are non standard upgrades if you ask. We discussed several items over several days before placing our orders through a Newmar dealer. If you have just a general idea of what you want then discuss it with them.
As to blanket statement that Power Teks are loud take it with a grain of salt. Some are and some or not. It depends on the year model and installation. Power Teks generally run at a constant RPM and Onan, BTW which is owned by Cummins, do not not. We do not consider our unit to be loud and have been very happy with it.
At one time Power was purchased by Cat and they may have sold that business when the got out of the OTR business.
So as I first suggested call the factory and ask. Newmar does not manufacture spec units as they have a hard order sheet in hand before the build starts.
