We bought our first motorhome Oct. 2005 from a private individual that we did not know. It failed the first 2 inspections, has been in shop for the last 2 months and we'll be getting it back tomorrow. Where we live, there are only 2 inspection stations that inpect a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. Our mechanic, due to not being able to fit our motorhome in his bays, had to wait for good weather to work on it outside. I got the word today the motorhome is ready to pick up. So we are going to try for inspection # 3. We bought a 1989 Holiday Rambler and it looked like it was in perfect condition & ran great. The reasons it failed were exhaust leak, steering linkage, tinted windows, a 1/2 crack in the windshield I never saw, as you can see, nothing REAL major. Next used motorhome will be bought at a dealer or with inspection certificate in hand.
