Fleetwood Bounder Slide

Could be but where is the question, an inline fuse should be visible. Maybe a loose wire or broken connection between the relay and the motor? The slideout could have broke itself by grabbing a wire coming in or out.

Do you perhaps have a bed that folds or retracts? If so is the switch fully engaged and if so then is the default not working. It sure sounds like a default has engaged preventing the slide from moving and when you direct wired you by passed it. Recently I had this problem and the bed was totally retracted visually but it took one more push of the switch to remove the default.

Yeah, I've been "playing" with the slide issue for a couple weeks now. I just bought the MH in November. I'm working on "making it mine". Not really getting in any rush, or getting frustrated in finding the problem. Been doing lots of other things to the coach, ie figuring out the tv/antenna system (still haven't), changed engine belt, working on the Sleep Number bed, etc.

The circuit board has 2 fuses on it. One is a self-resetting, 15 amp breaker, the other is a 20 amp slo-blo barrel fuse. I'm figuring the 15 is for the coils in the relays, and the 20 is for the load (motor). I haven't checked them with a meter yet with a load on them.

I have the slide out now, and have full access to the wiring. Absolutely nothing looks out of place (pinched). All the wires are in the plastic conduit, still with the factory tape & ties in place.

Oh, BTW. I did spy another bank of fuses (12v) last night. Didn't have time to check them, or see what they go to.

I've pushed on that button so many times my finger is sore.:B That was a big grin, don't know what my "preference setting is.:)

I would also call Fleetwood - they have been great helping me with issues I have had.

In the process of sorting out the slide issue, I've found a few minor squawks that needed addressing. So, it's not really all been in vein.:)

On One of my Bounders of the past & on my Discovery the bedroom tv pulls out of the back wall. I had to make sure that the tv was all the way in before I could put the slide in. The tv cabinet has a switch on it.

I have a 38N Expedition. My bedroom slide quit working a few years ago.

Same symptoms. Clicking but motor wouldnt go. I found a blown fuse. Replaced it and its worked fine since.

I cant remember where it was. Ill be in the RV today. I will look and maybe it will jog my memory.

My bedroom TV is on the wall, at the foot of the bed. I could see how yours would have worked though.
