FlexSeal

I have not. though I have some flex seal tape.. I use Eternabond .. While I've not use flex seal tape I have used the spray for some other jobs. Works well if NOT exposed to sun. Others have said it does changes color if exposed.

I would stick with Dicor self leveling sealant and Eternabond. They're excellent products with a good track record.

According to the TV guy, who fires cannon balls through boats, the stuff is pretty good. But, it doesn’t work for me. I once sprayed some on a new hatch cover. Thinking the cover would last longer. After about a year parked outside I could rub it off with my hand. I have seen similar results in other applications.

Best use the good stuff, as gbopp suggested.

Hmmmmmm. Of course we are new at this but seems to me that every year one has to inspect and reseal parts of their roofs which leads me to wonder how good the "good stuff" really is. If I have to reseal every year it would appear that, if it works, a rubber spray would be easier, faster and less messy.

It does not stand up to the UV rays outside. We have used it for a few small outdoor projects and it usually only lasts for about 4-5 months. It works GREAT for those 4-5 months, though.

We even used it to repair a commode tank and it worked great for about the same length of time, but then it eroded and started leaking again. It did help us to lengthen the time we could use the toilet and I wanted a specific replacement, so we had enough time to order one.

I used it as a temp patch on my residential roof. Does stop the leak but it does NOT last long. The sun drys it out and it cracks and you have the leak back.

FlexSeal is a petroleum based product and will soon dry out when exposed to the sun. For the roof on your RV, if you want a more permanent, long lasting seal, use a product designed for long term exposure to the sun, like Dicor, or Eternabond.

On the front of our Class C there is a gap between 2 pieces too wide for sealant so we 1st tried, I think Gorilla tape with out permanent results so now we have the 4 in. wide white flex seal tape and it seems so far that it will stay and keep water from running up and into the gap. But I'll be it would be a bear to get off?

I used it on my water/wash bucket to see how well it worked.. I had to purchase a new bucket for the next wash.... thumbs DOWN

Didn't work for us; we use Dicor or for larger areas Eternabond and Dicor.
