I'm planning a winter in Florida next winter. Generally, do you need to reserve ahead of time or can you find spots on the fly? The areas we are looking at: tampa, fort myers, and orlando. I just don't want to be forced to reserve for a week or more before we get a chance to take a look at the park. For example: Is anyone in Florida now and how full is your Rv park?
The further south you go yes reservations are needed.
Depends on what your plans are. Stay in CG/resort with lots of activities or stay in CG and site see. The bigger resorts with all types of activities where you never have to leave to have fun are usually are reserved up ahead of time. The later not so much.
The past four years I have never made a reservation and never was without a CG to stay at! BUT I stay in central Florida. The further south you go that all changes along with the $$CG rates$$! :C
