FMCA Michelin Program

Can someone advise if the buyer has control over the manufacured date of tires purchased via this program ? How do you control that ? Thanks.

    Same for me.
  • I used the Michelin tire program throughout Monaco intl. and I called the dealer and had them check the stock in their warehouse and had a matched set put on which were only two months old.
  • After the FMCA paperwork is done you can call the installation/purchase store you've chosen and ask for the date range on the tires you need. They can advise the date range they have. When you go for the installation, check the tires before they put them on and see if they are acceptable. Mine were a month or 2 old base on the manufacture date.
  • I requested "fresh" tires and got all less than 3 months old at a Michelin Truck Tire Distributor in Northern Indiana.
  • When I bought my tires I told my Michelin truck tire dealer that I wanted tires no more than 8 weeks old.
  • My tires were backordered from Michelin, when I had them installed they were two weeks old! I told the Michelin Tire Dealer that I was dealing with I wanted no more than a 90 day date stamp from the day of purchase!

  • Mine were various months, but not too old.

Ask to check dates before being installed, tire shop should oblige your concern.
  • Same as dons2346, got 6 and they were 5 months old but they smell new.

  • When I bought mine, they were 5 months old which is no big deal to me. Michelin builds tires in batches, not on a continuous basis.
