Four Winds Majestic

In searching for used Class C's I find that the Four Winds Majestic units are less expensive than most other and wonder why that is. Are they cheaper built or are many of them previous rental units?
Thanks for you comments.
  • What they all said. I have one and generally see at least two or three when we go to RV parks to camp. Good stuff even with the high mileage. Well refurbished. Go to the Cruise America web page and you will find tons of videos, pics, and info about their RV sales units. Same rule applies to buying them as with any other RV be it new or used. Do your due diligence and have it checked out and you will be fine. My opinion when it comes to RV (because I am not a full timer but rather a weekend warrior) is the buy old and used and then run it into the ground. Good luck!

Also spend some time on the link about ex-rentals provided above by Ichabod. That thread helped me tremendously when purchasing mine. Thank you Ichabod!
  • Fourwinds shuts the line down once a year and builds Cruise America units to Cruise America specs. The units are placed into the rental fleet, and upon being retired, are thoroughly refurbished, branded as a "Majestic" and are sold to the public.

The only way to buy a "Majestic" is to purchase a retired Cruise America rental unit.
  • The Four Winds Majestic is built for Cruise America and when they are retired they are re branded with the Majestic Name.

Buying a Ex Rental can be a good deal, they are maintained well with documentation, a real plus.

  • They are generally built for the rental market so actually they are sturdier than most but also lacking in amenities. They have no cutout in the overhead bunk so you can't walk from the cab to the house without banging your head. Most are lacking awnings and have linoleum instead of carpeting inside. They also seem to lounge for sale much longer in the used market as opposed to other brands, even at a lower price. All that said, if none of that bothers you, buy one and go camping!
