Gas Mileage Winnebago View / Itasca Navion

Can anyone with a Mercedes Sprinter Winnebago View or Itasca Navion please tell me what they get for average highway mileage ?

Thank You,

Mark
  • I have owned a 2016 Itasca Navion 24J and now we own a 2021 Itasca Navion 24D. I get about 15.5 MPG when I'm not towing and 14.4 towing a trailer or small car ( we have a 2015 Fiat 500). I put 75K miles on the 2016 and we now have 46K miles on the 2021. I drive the speed limit or a little under depending on conditions. We love the Mercedes chasis. I have all the non RV service done at Mercedes dealers. Iy's so easy to schedule service. You don't have to go to an RV dealer and wait weeks for the repair. We have owned 2 camper trailers, a class A diesel and 2 class B Mercedes vans in addition to the 2 class C's. The Itasca 24D is by far our favorite. It's easy to drive, great MPG and you can stop for fuel at any gas station that has diesel. We have 3 dogs and 3 granddaughter's. When we all travel together it's a little tight but doable. The overhead bunk is great for storage or sleeping one person. The dinnette is great fo sleeping as well as the murphy bed. Adventure is out there!! Have fun.

Valuable information and I am sure if the OP returns to the topic he'll appreciate it. That said, the OP's post is almost 5 years old and he hasn't returned to the forum since.

  • gas/diesel? I have a 2007 ltv 5cyc diesel and can show a log book of mostly 18teen to 23mpg. mine does not have the epa junk as the 2008 and newer diesels have,
  • I have the 2007 chassis View, and I get 15 MPG. M-B 6 cyl 3.0L Turbo Diesel.
  • I was particularly interested in diesel results. I didn't think anyone was interested in the gas, anymore. Thanks for the replies, Jim and Midnight !!

  • Same M/B chassis under my Prism B+, I get 15-15.5 pulling the toad, about 16.5+ without the tow.
  • I have a 2005 Gulfstream Vista Cruiser. This is the diesel Freightliner Sprinter with 155 wheelbase. I get 19-22mpg. I did get 25 consistently but put on bigger tires. That changed the gearing enough to drop my mileage. When I pull a trailer or even a car it drops 10 17-18mpg.
  • Have a similar size on a 3.0 Sprinter 2014.
    Get average of 16.5 mpg.

Seems the smaller class B on the 5 cylinder Sprinter get better MPG (20+mpg?).
Larger Class C-/B+ on 6 cylinder Sprinter get lower mpg (16-18mpg).
  • Not many responses seem to be for your larger rig. On the Sprinter forum owners of that rig mostly post 13 to 16 mpg.
