Generator run time
How long is it safe to run my diseal At a time? Should I shut it down occasionally to cool down? This is a 7kw Onan unit Thanks

Although we have a gas Onan, I don't give it a second thought to how long it has been running. These generators are built to withstand anything you throw at them and ours has been bulletproof over the last decade under very demanding situations. Now if it was a portable generator I might give it some thought to how hard and how long we were running it, although our Champion 3100 inverter generator has proven to be a real workhorse meeting all our power demands over the last couple of seasons.
