Well finally had enough of the Sea Land toilet not holding water and since it was a big project to tear it apart to change the seals. We bought a Thetford low profile Aqua-Magic Style II. In less than an hour a larger china bowl throne was installed. What a difference from a broke down sub compact to a Cadillac.
Question does the pipe that runs staight down in to a tank thread into the tank?? I think I need to replace mine due to some modifications which made it short for the stool mounting collar.
I just changed the seal in my Sea Land toilet yesterday. First time doing it...and I don't think it took 10-15 minutes, and some of that was reading and refering to the instructions to make sure I was doing it right. Next time, I doubt it would take much more then 5 minutes. Brian
I installed a Style II toilet last year. One of the reasons I chose this unit was the ease of repair.
This link will take you to Thetford's page of downloadable .pdf instructions for various toilet repairs. The first item on the list is for replacement of the Style II seal.
Note that not all of the downloads are for the Style II.
When you first look at replacing the seal it seems difficult, but when you actually do it, it goes fast and isn't hard. not much more than 10 minutes.

I agree that replacing the seal on a Sea Land toilet is a pain in the but, the seal in the Aqua-Magic looks to be about as bad. Just hope it last longer.
