Got a hole in my shower tub

I just discovered a hole in my shower tub. I have a 22 foot class C, and we use the tub for storage not showering. Something tipped over and did the damage. It's not very big, just a slit that looks like it was made with your thumbnail, but it is pierced. My local RV guy said the tub is probably either ABS or Polyethylene. It has a very smooth yellow coating on the tub. Getting to it from the back is impossible. If anyone has any ideas on how I might repair this I would appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance

I tried ABS solvent from the hardware store on my curling broom head when it cracked. The solvent made it stronger than original. It melts the plastic together. Will leave a black appearance. And will only work on ABS plastic.

Thank you guys for all your excellent suggestions. I think I had about 8 options when I looked at it all. I ended up using 3M Marine adhesive/sealant which the boating crowd gave rave reviews. It seems to be setting up nicely so I'm keeping my finger crossed. Thanks to all.

Guess my question is...what's the vintage of the C? If you are into the older ones, then the re-sale won't be much harmed. If it's newer? If you figure on selling it anytime soon? get it fixed properly. Yes..a new pan.

Go to a marine supply store and buy one of the patching products they have for the hull of boats.

Google "rv shower pan" - they cost about $150.

Replacing the tub will be an adventure in futility! Campers are built from the inside out. Tubs and showers are usually the first thing laid on the floor and then everything is built around it, opposite like you'd do in your house. Here's a photo of a Denali 5er from a tour we took of the Dutchmen factory in 2006. The manufacturing methods have not changed. Maybe this photo will give you an idea of how the tub is installed.

But really, if you patch it with one of the suggestions above and it works, it will be much easier and cheaper.

I used JB water weld putty on a crack in mine with no drilling five years ago. Mush some up, spread over the crack, let dry. Done. Color a little off, no big deal to me.

first drill a very small hole at both ends of the crack to prevent further spreading. Then go to a home center and get a fiberglass tub repair kit which is basically a white epoxy mix that you can apply to the area to repair
