HELP!! 97 5.7L DIES AT IDLE or DECELERATING???

I have a 5.7L in a GMC Van Converted to a Class B, it dies when idling, and when letting off the gas 3 times today. Then it takes a few tries to restart. This just started yesterday. I changed the Fue...

On my Ford E350 it did the same thing your GMC was doing and it turned out to be the throttle position sensor. Don't know if it's the same as a idle air control valve or not. Anyhow when it dies on you and doesn't seem to want to start, try depressing the accelerator pedal just a little bit and hold it down while turning the engine.
